Take Care of Your Dog in Summer
Summer can be a challenging time for our dogs if we do not take the proper precautions. High temperatures, sun exposure, and changes in routine can cause stress, dehydration, or even heatstroke.

It is essential to always provide fresh, clean water, avoid walks during the hottest hours of the day (usually between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.), and provide shade whenever they spend time outdoors. Dogs with long coats or brachycephalic breeds (such as bulldogs or pugs) require special attention, as they are more prone to overheating.
Summer is also the season for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, so it is recommended to keep parasite treatments up to date and regularly check your dog’s fur and skin. In addition, never leave your dog inside a parked vehicle, even with the windows open, as the temperature can rise quickly and become fatal.
Providing extra care, such as refreshing baths, toys that can get wet, and walks early in the morning or at sunset, will help your dog enjoy the summer safely and healthily. A well-hydrated dog, protected from the heat, and checked regularly will have a happy summer without unnecessary risks.
